Train Station Trio

September 27, 2024 ~ Train Station Trio performed at the Merced Theatre in Merced CA. The concert was a co-production between UC Merced Arts, UC Merced's Department of History & Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, and the Merced Symphony. The performers were Pura Fe, Shane Shanahan, and Michi Wiancko. The concert is a Silkroad presentation. Yo-Yo Ma conceived Silkroad to create music that engages difference for a more hopeful and inclusive world. Train Station Trio highlights the impact of African American, Chinese, Irish, and Indigenous communities on the creation of the Transcontinental Railroad. The concert held at the Merced theatre was inspiring, hopeful, and beautiful.
